Cosmic Valse is unlike anything I've ever created before. What started as an experiment focussed on creating unique timbres for trombone and guitar quickly grew into a gorgeous mix of sound design and music that guides the listener to worlds unknown.

To my surprise, trombone and guitar, when used in this context, compliment one another quite well. The trombone provides a very rich, luscious tone that combines well with the lightness of the guitar to create a very weightless, yet tangible atmosphere for the listener to enjoy.

Also included in this album are a few bonus tracks:

Flor de Muerto is my attempt at marrying horror music and jazz. It's premise is based around Dia de los Muertos. The hauntingly ambient interjections throughout the piece are my way of showcasing loved ones returning from the dead to interact with their familia.

Rippling Echoes, much like Cosmic Valse, began as an experiment to see if I could create an entire piece of music using only changes in note velocity. What it turned into was a sort of thunderous, emotionally heightened piece that really brings to life the principles of Sturm und Drang.

And, finally, In a Yellow Wood is a peaceful interpretation of Robert Frost's famed poem, "The Road Not Taken."

This is really quite the mix of genres. I hope you find something in this album that speaks to you. Enjoy!
